IMHO, protesting (peaceful or otherwise) doesn't have the same affect as it used to because we basically let the people we are protesting against know our every fucking plan and move.
I sell tamales on the street and get word of a peaceful protest coming to my neighborhood or city. As an enterprising woman and someone that's about that hustle, I can easily look online to find out how I could make the most out of this protest. I see that a million people are coming and that I should probably prepare for their arrival.
Now, replace that enterprising woman with government/corporations/oppressors.
Maybe we need to get off the internet to make moves that they can't benefit from first, is all I'm saying.
Uber, Air BnB, Starbucks, Home Depot, Walmart, Airlines, hotels, banks, etc,
ALL MADE A KILLING ON SATURDAY.
Wondering who made more, them or planned parenthood? Them or BLM? Them or any of the causes that were marched for on Saturday.
Why aren't we collectively getting together to do that?
ALL THAT MONEY. Y'all do know we need money to fight this, right?
P.S.: I'm going to say this now, so y'all don't get mad at me later for saying it to your face:If you post more selfies of you at these marches than you post about the issues you marched for, FUCK YOU, FUCK YOUR FAUXACTIVISM, FUCK YOUR EMPTY GESTURE OF SOLIDARITY.
